RECOVERY OF OUT-OF-STATE Medicaid CLAIMS:
SMU Associates is determined to collect every dollar from your out-of-state Medicaid billings. Every attempt is determined for as long as it is necessary to see that your out-of-state revenues are recovered. Most claims are submitted electronically.
OUT-OF-STATE PROVIDER ENROLLMENT AND ADMINISTRATIVE ENROLLMENT MAINTENANCE:
If the hospital does not have a provider number with a particular state, SMU Associates will provide enrollment process at no extra charge. Because of our attention to administrative maintenance with out-of-state provider enrollments, we are able to maintain your provider identification with each state from our own files.
THOROUGH FOLLOW-UP AND APPEALS:
SMU is proud of our reputation for tenacity. Regardless of the dollar value or return, SMU puts forth great persistence. A $17.50 lab fee is recovered as diligently as a $100,000 inpatient stay. All claims receive telephone follow-up regardless of the balance. Each state has specific billing requirements and we understand the difficulty in processing these special requirements. SMU maintains personal contacts with each state to assist us in the recovery of your revenues.
FEE SCHEDULE:
SMU Associates works on a contingency
basis. The fee is negotiable
depending upon volume, and is invoiced only after funds have been
recovered. If funds are not recovered, there is NO charge to
the client.
START-UP RECOMMENDATIONS:
A typical new client start-up includes a clean-up of outstanding receipts. We will review and make full recovery attempts on all aged unresolved claims. At the same time, SMU Associates would start the billing process on current claims.
